In Mizoram, North East India, we have joined with a local NGO Design Centre for Tribal Development and a local Bank to promote cultivation of Stevia under Contract Farming agreement. We have provided the technology and organized inputs as well as assured buy back of the produce. In the 1st phase 100 farmers from 19 villages have cultivated stevia in plots of 1 acre each.
